This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for using RIDEE. For clarity, the following terms are defined:

  • Platform: Refers to the RIDEE mobile application, website, and related services that connect riders with drivers.
  • Rider: An individual who requests transportation services through the Platform.
  • Driver: An independent service provider who accepts ride requests through the Platform.
  • Wallet: A digital feature within the Platform that allows riders to store and use funds for payments.

By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. 

Scope and Eligibility 

RIDEE operates as a technology platform that connects riders and independent drivers. The Platform does not provide transportation services, and drivers are neither employees nor agents of RIDEE. Users must be at least 18 years old to access the Platform. Drivers must maintain valid licenses, insurance, and vehicle registrations, and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Account Registration 

Users are required to register an account by providing accurate and up-to-date information. Drivers must complete a verification process, including identity and vehicle documentation checks. Account credentials must be kept secure, and users are responsible for any activities conducted through their accounts. RIDEE may suspend or terminate accounts for providing false information, breaching these Terms, or engaging in prohibited activities.

Services Provided 

RIDEE facilitates the connection between riders and drivers. When a rider books a ride and a driver accepts, a separate agreement is formed between them. RIDEE is not a party to this agreement and does not assume liability for the actions of either party. RIDEE’s role is limited to providing the technology that enables these interactions.

Payment Terms

Riders are required to pay for rides using the available methods on the Platform, such as wallet balances or credit/debit cards. Payment must be completed immediately upon ride confirmation. Refunds for canceled rides will be credited back to the wallet. Drivers are charged a 5% commission upon ride acceptance, which is refunded if the ride is canceled. Fees for completed rides are final and non-refundable unless required by law or policy.

RIDEE may authorize a temporary hold on the rider’s payment method to verify funds and ensure payment availability. If a ride cannot be completed due to insufficient funds, RIDEE reserves the right to cancel the ride.

All payments are processed through RIDEE’s secure payment gateway. Riders and drivers are responsible for providing accurate payment information. RIDEE is not liable for delays caused by third-party payment processors.

Additional Payment Features

  • Tips: Riders may add a tip for the driver after the ride. Tips are optional and not included in the initial ride fare.
  • Tolls and Fees: Any applicable tolls, airport fees, or other charges will be added to the ride fare and included in the final payment.
  • Cancellation Fees: Riders may incur cancellation fees if a ride is canceled after the driver is en route or has arrived at the pickup location. Drivers may also be subject to penalties for unjustified cancellations.

Cancellations and No-Shows 

Riders may cancel rides before the driver arrives, but a cancellation fee may apply if the cancellation occurs after the driver has reached the pickup location or is en route. Cancellation fees vary by location and are clearly displayed on the Platform.

Drivers who cancel rides without valid reasons may face penalties, including deduction of commissions for the canceled ride and potential suspension of their account. Abuse of cancellation policies by either party may result in account termination.

No-show fees may apply if a rider fails to appear at the designated pickup location within a reasonable time. The Platform will notify both parties of such charges.

Safety and Conduct 

RIDEE prioritizes safety and requires riders and drivers to adhere to local laws and RIDEE’s community standards. Unacceptable behaviors, including harassment, discrimination, violence, or illegal activities, are strictly prohibited.

Drivers must maintain their vehicles safely and comply with all vehicle-related regulations. Riders must respect the driver’s property and follow all safety instructions.

RIDEE reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts of users who violate safety standards or engage in misconduct.

User-Generated Content 

Users may provide reviews and feedback on rides. Content must be truthful, respectful, and comply with applicable laws. RIDEE reserves the right to remove or moderate content deemed inappropriate or violates these Terms. By submitting content, users grant RIDEE a non-exclusive license to use the content for operational purposes.

Restricted Activities 

Users are prohibited from engaging in activities that compromise the integrity or security of the Platform, including but not limited to:

  • Providing false information during account registration.
  • Misusing the Platform for unauthorized or illegal purposes.
  • Attempting to hack or disrupt the Platform’s operations.
  • Engaging in abusive or fraudulent behavior.

RIDEE may take legal action against users who violate these restrictions.

Data Privacy 

RIDEE collects, uses, and protects user data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, users consent to RIDEE’s data practices. While RIDEE employs industry-standard security measures, it does not guarantee absolute data security.

Intellectual Property 

All intellectual property related to the Platform, including software, logos, and content, is owned by RIDEE or its licensors. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of RIDEE’s intellectual property is prohibited.

Liability Disclaimer 

RIDEE provides the Platform on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. It does not guarantee the reliability, quality, or availability of rides. RIDEE is not liable for damages, injuries, or losses incurred during rides. Users acknowledge that they use the Platform at their own risk.

Dispute Resolution 

RIDEE encourages users to resolve disputes through its support team. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be subject to arbitration or handled in accordance with local laws. RIDEE reserves the right to determine the method of dispute resolution.

Termination of Services 

RIDEE may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, illegal activities, or actions that harm the Platform’s integrity. Users may delete their accounts by contacting RIDEE support. Outstanding balances or obligations must be settled upon termination.

Updates to Terms and Conditions 

RIDEE reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting to the Platform. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Users are advised to review these Terms periodically.

Governing Law 

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Pakistan.
